Rick grew up listening to music legends such as The Beach Boys and The Beatles, and began his own musical journey in the late '70s as a bass player in various cover bands. Power pop is a pretty formulaic genre -- a glorious formula, but still, predictable enough that lots and lots of bands can pull off a "perfect" blend of melody, harmony, jangle and crunch a time or two in the course of their careers. But I can't name another record that hits the magic spot EVERY SINGLE TRACK. This is so f$%#ing good.
